Precious Residential Home – Now Offering Nursing Care

Following what has been a rigorous review of our service by The Care Quality Commission (CQC); all our hard work has paid off! Along with the provision of specialist equipment and adaptations to the building to accommodate the needs of our residents, the Senior Management Team at Precious Residential Home have demonstrated that they possess the skills, expertise and knowledge required to be able to offer Nursing Care. We are immensely proud to be able to extend our services beyond residential care and offer our support to a more diverse client group with a range of specialist needs.

Who are the CQC?

The CQC is the independent regulator of health and social care in England. Their job is to ensure that levels of care provided are safe, effective, compassionate and high-quality.

A Note From the Registered Manager of Precious Residential Home

Our Registered Manager, Hannah Henshaw, is delighted with the news, and said, “I am very proud of what we have been able to achieve here at Precious Residential Home. Following an extensive renovation of the building to ensure we can offer the greatest level of care possible to our residents, news of our successful application to add Nursing Care to our registration with the CQC is extremely welcome. The addition of Nursing Care means we are able to offer a wider range of services to our residents, support the NHS with hospital discharges and expand our employment opportunities.”

What is ‘Residential Care?’

What is ‘Residential Care?’

Residential care is provided in a care home and consists of a safe place to live, with 24-hour personal care and support to the elderly and others who may find it difficult to manage daily life at home.

A residential home is used by people who struggle with daily life due to old age, a physical disability, a learning disability, mental health problems, addiction or other care needs.

Residential means that the person living at the home may treat it as their own home and can expect to receive support from care assistants with tasks such as washing, dressing, bathing and showering, toileting, medication administration and mobility, in line with their personal needs and preferences. Living in a residential care home takes away the need to do chores as the home will be kept clean by staff and laundry services will be provided.

Here at Precious Residential Home, we tailor care to individuals and celebrate each person’s unique qualities.
