Coronavirus Update

Safety is top-of-mind for all our residents, their families and our colleagues, and we have enhanced our already robust infection control measures.

People being admitted from the community will need to take a PCR test 72 hours before admission, followed by a lateral flow test (LFT) on the day of admission (day 0). No isolation is required if both tests are negative. Those who have previously tested positive for COVID-19 and are within 90 days of the onset of symptoms or a positive test will be required to complete an LFT. 

People being admitted from hospital will need to take a PCR test within the 48 hours preceding their discharge. An LFT will be completed on those who have previously tested positive for COVID-19 and are within 90 days of the onset of symptoms or a positive test result. No isolation is required if results are negative. If a person is being admitted from an area of a hospital where there has been a COVID-19 outbreak, additional precautions may be required.
